Camera insurance can be concluded exclusively at the partner shops - Centrum FotoŠkoda, MEGAPIXEL or FOTOLAB.
You can only insured a new camera during its purchase. Insurance cover can be arranged at our partners' shops.
A household insurance is valid in Czech Republic only and covers damages that happened in the insured property. It does not include insurance for damages by careless treatment (it usually covers only thefts). Moreover, the deductibles are quite high.
The insurance does not apply to damages that are covered by manufacturer/seller warranty, damages caused by wearing down, corrosion, erosion or oxidation, dirt and other effects stated in Article 4 of Special insurance terms and conditions.
Make a claim on-line. Choose "Kamery a fotoaparáty - odcizení nebo poškození" (Cameras - theft or damage) in "Volnočasové aktivity" (Leisure) section. Don't forget to attach the essential documents - insurance policy, invoice for the camera/accessories or its repair, a repair shop report, a police report or flight ticket and boarding/luggage ticket (in case of loss during air transport).

Insurance Details
The only individual insurance of your camera and its accessories that applies to thefts as well as to careless treatment or any other mechanical damage. We will cover the expenses for new camera or its accessories in case of an insured event in the Czech Republic or abroad. We settle the claims within 7 working days, you just have to fill in the on-line form. Disregard the age of your device, we will give you a voucher for new one. We also sell extended warranty insurance.

What does the insurance cover
- damages, destructions or thefts resulting from burglaries, robberies or vandalism that were confirmed by police
- damages or destructions caused by careless treatment – dropping, shock etc. (mechanical damage)
- damages caused by natural disaster, smoke, overvoltage, undervoltage or malfunction of the sprinkler system
Extended warranty insurance
You can extend the warranty by 1, 2 or 3 years. We will refund you the repair costs or give you a voucher for new device with similar parameters (in case it won't be possible to repair it) during that time.
Deductible
The insurance benefit is always deducted by 10 % of the price of the device (at least CZK 500). If the camera and/or its accessories was damaged or destroyed by careless treatment, the deductible is 20 %. There is no deductible on extended warranty insurance.
