Statement of ERV Evropská Regarding the Situation in the Middle East
Free Extension of Travel Insurance
ERV Evropská will extend travel insurance free of charge for all clients affected by the current situation in the Middle East until their return home. We are therefore not applying the standard exclusion for war zones. The extension is automatic and free; clients do not need to contact us.
Assistance Services
Our assistance service will do everything possible to help clients with their medical issues and to coordinate any necessary treatment. However, it cannot arrange evacuation or repatriation from the affected area, as these operations are centrally organized by state authorities.
Validity of Travel Insurance
For new trips to countries that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs advises against visiting, or that are listed by us as war zones, our insurance does not apply at all. As of 2 March 2026, it is not possible to arrange valid insurance for travel to Bahrain, Iran, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, or the United Arab Emirates. Exceptions may apply to certain specially negotiated corporate contracts.
For Clients Currently Abroad
Evacuation
Clients should follow the instructions provided by local authorities, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, travel agencies, or airlines. Our assistance service is ready to help, but it cannot intervene in the coordination of rescue operations.
For Clients Yet to Depart on Their Trip
Trip Cancellation
Cancelling a holiday or travel services due to fear of traveling is not a valid reason for a cancellation claim. If you are planning to travel to a destination you are concerned about, please contact your travel service provider to resolve your situation.
Refund of Premium
If the trip is cancelled by the travel service provider (travel agency, airline, etc.), we refund the full amount (for both cancellation insurance and travel insurance). If the trip is cancelled by the client, we provide a refund only if standalone travel insurance was arranged.
If a client agrees to move their trip to another date or destination free of charge, we will transfer their insurance accordingly.
